Traditional & Sport Karate in Cardiff and South Wales
Welcome to Karate Budokan International (Europe), your gateway to authentic Budokan karate across Cardiff, South Wales, and beyond. Whether you’re a beginner, seasoned martial artist, or simply curious, our clubs offer a welcoming space to explore the art, discipline, and community of karate.
With over 50 years of heritage, we are proud to be one of the longest-standing karate organisations in Wales. Our training blends traditional Budokan techniques, sport karate, and practical self-defence, rooted in the Keishinkan lineage, an older, respected form of Shotokan. We also incorporate weapons/kubodo training and emphasise the real-world application of ‘kata bunkai’ and self-defence strategies.
